About "Respite"
Excerpt from the Artist's Story...
This scene brought back memories of growing up on a farm, where I often saw rusty tools standing or lying around. There was something special about the way the sunlight made even the rusted metal glow against the wall. The combination of the natural beauty of sun and shadow and the obvious presence of man – the scythes, the rusted hasp and peeling boards - created an extraordinary visual statement. - Tim Myrick- 2024
